The nails
What makes PinkBetter press-on nails different?
Handmade, not machine-pressed. Every set is painted and decorated by hand — gel layers, 3D charms, glitter, hand-placed details. Designed in Oslo and handcrafted in small batches. Each set carries its own character — no two are exactly alike.
Are press-on nails reusable?
Yes — when applied with sticky tabs, press-on nails are fully reusable. Remove gently, store them back in the original case, and with proper care a set can be worn again and again. Some customers re-use the same set for months or even years. If you use the included glue for a stronger bond, reuse is still possible but requires extra cleanup (see the removal section below).
How many times can I wear one set of press-on nails?
There's no fixed limit. As long as the nails aren't lost or damaged, a PinkBetter set can be re-worn dozens of times. With proper care — gentle removal, clean storage in the original case — a set can genuinely last years.
Can I paint or decorate the nails on top?
We don't recommend it. Each PinkBetter set already has a final gel top coat sealed over the design — painting, stickers, or additional polish usually don't adhere well to the cured gel and will likely ruin the finish. Our sets are designed to wear as-is.
A design I love is sold out. Will it come back?
Most drops are limited. We create in small batches to keep the catalog fresh, and once a set sells out it usually doesn't return. If there's clearly high demand and enough requests, we'll consider restocking — but generally, if something catches your eye, don't wait.
Sizing & application
What size press-on nails do I need?
Each PinkBetter set comes in three sizes: S, M, and L. Every product page includes a built-in size chart under the description — measure the width of each natural nail with a ruler and match it to the chart. Most people get it right on the first try. If you're between sizes, go smaller for a flush fit with no overhang.
How do I apply press-on nails?
Prep your natural nails: push back cuticles, lightly file the surface to remove shine, and wipe with the alcohol pad in your kit to remove oils. Then apply the adhesive — sticky tabs for easy reuse or the included glue for stronger, longer hold. Press each press-on at a 45° angle, hold firmly for 30 seconds. Full step-by-step guide on our How to Apply page.
Should I use sticky tabs or nail glue?
Sticky tabs are the default. They hold up to 2 weeks, come off cleanly, and let you re-wear the same set many times. Glue gives you stronger, longer hold — ideal for events, active days, or natural nails that don't bond well with tabs. The trade-off: glue-applied sets are harder to reuse (see removal section). Both are included in your kit, so you can choose per occasion.
How long does application take?
Under 10 minutes from prep to last nail — 2–3 minutes for prep, 5–7 minutes to apply all 10. After that, keep your hands dry for 2–3 hours so the adhesive can fully cure.
Why are my press-on nails coming off too quickly?
Three common reasons: (1) natural oils weakened the bond — always wipe with the alcohol pad before applying; (2) not enough prep — lightly buffing the nail surface gives the adhesive something to grip; (3) water exposure too soon — keep hands dry for at least 2–3 hours after applying. If your nails are naturally oily or slippery, switch from sticky tabs to the included glue for a stronger bond.
Making them last
How long do press-on nails last?
Up to 2 weeks with proper application. Good prep (clean, dry, oil-free nails) plus the included glue gives you the longest wear. Sticky tabs are slightly shorter but allow for easy reuse. The #1 enemy of wear time is water — especially hot water.
Is water OK after the nails have cured?
Some water is fine — hand-washing, quick showers, normal day-to-day exposure won't ruin your set. But water is the enemy of adhesive, especially hot water. The more you minimize hot water contact, the longer your nails stay on.
Can I swim, shower, or wash dishes with press-on nails?
Short showers and hand-washing: fine after the 2–3 hour cure. For swimming, hot tubs, long hot baths, and dishwashing, wear gloves or skip if possible. Frequent hot water exposure significantly shortens wear time.
Removal & reuse
How do I remove press-on nails applied with sticky tabs?
Soak your hands in warm water with a drop of hand soap for about 5 minutes. The nails should lift off gently — no pulling, no peeling. If they're still stubborn, soak for another few minutes. Never force them off — patience prevents damage. Pop the set back in its original case and it's ready for the next wear.
How do I remove press-on nails applied with glue?
Glue takes longer to release. Soak in warm soapy water for 10–15 minutes — longer than sticky tabs. Remove carefully without force; if a nail isn't coming off, keep soaking rather than pulling. After removal, gently clean any hardened glue residue off both your natural nails and the back of each press-on before storing the set. Once cleaned up, the set can still be reused.
Do press-on nails damage your natural nails?
No — when removed properly. PinkBetter press-on nails are designed to come off cleanly with no damage: no UV lamp, no acetone, no peeling. The key is patience. Soak longer, pull gently, never force. Damage only happens when nails are pulled off before the adhesive has released.
How do I store my nails between wears?
Pop the set back in the original case as soon as you've cleaned off any adhesive residue. Keep the case dry, at room temperature, and out of direct sunlight. Stored properly and handled gently, one set can be re-worn many, many times.

Returns
What's your return policy?

Who pays for return shipping?
If your order arrived damaged or we made a mistake, we cover return shipping. For returns based on a change of heart or a size mismatch, return shipping is the customer's responsibility.
More
Can children wear PinkBetter press-on nails?
Not recommended for young children — the small size and the glue pose a choking and safety risk. Keep the kit out of reach of kids. Teens are generally fine as long as their fingers are large enough for adult sizes and they can apply and remove the nails responsibly.
